Fundraising
From the London Marathon to three-legged races, MacIntyre as a not-for-profit organisation, raise funds through donations, events and other activities which are then distributed, 100% throughout the charity. No management or administrative overheads are deducted.
All fundraising and charitable giving allows us to enhance the life experiences of people with disabilities and to provide exciting innovative services that increase choice. It allows us to go the extra mile and continually improve. Without your support the following would not have been possible:
Darren’s Story
Darren’s dream was to holiday in Sweden. Through “Your Fund”, Darren applied for assistance to help him realise this dream. Darren received £500 to enable him to book his holiday with his keyworker.
“I would like to say a huge thank you for my £500 for my Swedish holiday. We had a great time. We visited the ABBA shop and went to the Stockholm Kulturfestival as well as other stuff just too much to mention.”
Jane’s Story
Jane was having problems with her shoulder due to her to sofa being broken. Saving enough money was proving difficult, so Janes linkworker mentioned that MacIntyre may be able to help with this.
“Within a couple of weeks I was given half the cost of my new sofa. I was over the moon and went shopping for one that weekend. I would like to say a big thanks otherwise I would still be saving and still have my bad shoulder.”
We are proud to state that all charitable funds are spent as the donor intended.
From coffee mornings to walking the length of the country your fundraising efforts are invaluable to us. To help you with ideas and guidance on how to raise money for MacIntyre we have put together a Guide to Fundraising, which is available to download by clicking the link on the right.
