Roadshows
The Roadshow is designed to share good practice ideas. These ideas are focused towards staff with the people we support helping to facilitate workshops and displays to get these messages across.
The event is co-ordinated by a team at MacIntyre's Central Milton Keynes office and the events are held at different areas around the country to give everyone a chance to attend.
The first of our Roadshows took place in October 2005 in Warrington and their success continues today.
The purpose of the Roadshows is to share success stories, enable people to see examples of good practice, generate ideas, promote new information and resources and, of course, to have fun!
Roadshows generally include displays on Health, Communication, The Mag as well as many local based initiatives. Workshops are run throughout the day on such diverse subjects as Mental Health Awareness, Person Centred Approaches, Healthy Lifestyles, Inclusive Recruitment, Great Interactions and Our Stories, which looks at how the lives of the people who use our services have been changed.
The essence of the Roadshow is about celebrating good practice and sharing it. Everyone is encouraged to come along with displays or contributions to workshops with the things they do well.
