Map is a visual planning tool, individuals often use pictures, photographs and other materials to create a visual plan. Map can be used at a meeting or individual sections can be explored in small groups or independently. Each section explores a different area and individuals can choose the order of sections they work through.
Map is often described as having characteristics of ELP and Path, as it allows individuals to plan for the future and also includes sections that explore an individual’s past, including a section called “getting to know you”. It is not considered as focussed as Path nor as in detailed a ELP.
Map allows individuals to identify goals for the future in the dreams section and identify their fears in the nightmares section. The outcome of map should identify specific actions that work towards achieving individual goals and work away from an individual’s nightmares.
