All new staff are supported through a comprehensive induction programme to work with the people who use our services.

Each member of staff is provided with a Personal Development Portfolio (PDP) to work through during the first six months of their employment. The PDP has been structured to meet the needs of different staff groups who may or may not have previous experience in working with people with a learning disability.

Staff who have no previous experience of supporting people with a learning disability are also supported to complete the Certificate in Working with People with Learning Disabilities (CWPLD)
