Benefits for your company
A corporate partnership with MacIntyre can benefit your company in a number of ways:
• Helps you retain a talented and diverse workforce
• Improves your employees’ job satisfaction and effectiveness in the workplace
• Enhances positive media coverage of your business
• Improves customer satisfaction
• Improves your impact on the local community
A charity partnership with MacIntyre will help your company make a lasting difference to the lives of the children, young people and adults with a learning disability or autism who we support. Working with us will build your reputation as a company that is passionate about helping people lead a fulfilling life.
Encouraging your staff to get behind a common goal can help with motivation and team bonding. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development recommends a strong corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy as a powerful tool for recruiting and retaining staff.
A partnership with MacIntyre provides an excellent way to demonstrate your company’s commitment to CSR to your employees and gives them the opportunity to get involved as well.
Employee fundraising for MacIntyre could include fancy dress days, office car boot sales and other activity events such as the Three Peaks Challenge or a fun run.
Corporate responsibility at a local level
Although MacIntyre is a national charity, we have a strong local focus with services across the country. We will ensure that not only will you work directly with your closest local project, but you can also make a relevant contribution to your community.
We have a number of special events and projects which provide the opportunity for company sponsorship. Contact us to discover more about how your company can get involved.
Payroll giving is a simple and cost-effective way to donate to charity, so why not encourage your employees to donate an hour’s worth of salary to MacIntyre every month?
By having their donations come straight from their salary before tax, people effectively increase the value of their contribution. For example each £10 donated will only cost £7.80 (assuming tax is paid at 22%). The Inland Revenue gives up the tax it would otherwise have kept.
Claire Kennedy, MacIntyre’s Head of Fundraising, explains: “The great thing about payroll giving is that the money comes straight out of the salary and is tax efficient so in effect your overall donation costs you less. You can start, stop or change the amount of your donation at any time.”
Charity of the Year
Whatever the size of your company, choosing MacIntyre as your company’s Charity of the Year will bring benefits for both us and you. Together we can:
• Motivate your employees, encourage team spirit and increase morale
• Raise your profile
• Add to the work/life balance of your company
• Create a bonding experience across departments and teams
Some of the benefits of having a Charity of the Year programme include:
• Increased customer loyalty
• The ability to demonstrate a high level of commitment to your local community
• The opportunity to generate PR
We will help you build a full calendar of engaging events that will inspire and motivate all your employees.
Even if you do not have a Charity of the Year, staff can still participate in our events and the company can show its support by matching the money raised by staff, pound for pound (matched giving).

Employee volunteering can contribute greatly to team building, staff motivation and personal development. Contact us to find out about our current employee volunteering opportunities for corporate supporters in your chosen area. Volunteering can be a one off event that a team does as a team building exercise, or regularly giving as little as an hour of your time.
MacIntyre is a diverse charity, with many different projects supporting hundreds of people with different needs, abilities and interests. Please contact us for an informal discussion of the options available – from placing a collection tin on your counter to offering someone work experience, the possibilities are endless.
