I want to fundraise for MacIntyre. How do I get involved?

We are delighted you want to fundraise for us. Our amazing supporters help us make a real difference to the lives of adults and children with a learning disability. There are so many ways you can get involve – have a look at this Get Involved section and our Events page.

If you’re not sure what you would like to do, then drop us an email fund@macintyrecharity.org and we will be in touch to help you find the fundraising activity that is perfect for you.

Can I make a donation?

Yes of course. Making an online donation is the quickest and easiest way! To donate to MacIntyre online please go to our Virgin Money Giving page.

Can I hold my own event for MacIntyre?

Absolutely! We love it when people want to get involved by holding their own event. It gives you the opportunity to tailor the event to your specific needs. You might like to take a look at our DIY page for some ideas and tips.

Whether it is a run, cycle, walk or challenge, all you need to do is let us know by emailing fund@macintyrecharity.org or calling us on 01908 357012 and we will ensure we give you all the support you need.

We will even send you a fabulous supporter pack from us, to make sure you feel like part of Team MacIntyre.

I need posters and invitations to promote my event. Where can I get them from?

We have lots of professional designed posters and invitations – one for every kind of fundraising event! Have a look in the Downloads sections on this page and simply find your favourite design then either download a printable PDF or contact fund@macintyrecharity.org and we will post out your request.

The best thing is, they’re all completely free.

How will you use the funds I’ve raised?

Your money will help us to make a real difference to the lives of children and adults with a learning disability.

You can choose where every penny you raise goes.

You can choose a local service to support.

Do you have information about MacIntyre that I can pass to my sponsors or display at my event?

Yes, we have information leaflets and other fundraising aids available from our Fundraising Team.  Please call 01908 357012 or email fund@macintyrecharity.org

Do I need to enclose my sponsorship forms with my cheques?

If any of your sponsors have ticked the Gift Aid box it is essential we have a copy of your sponsorship form.  Without this we will not be able to claim Gift Aid on any of your donations, the Gift Aid increases your contribution to MacIntyre by 25% without any extra cost to you or your donors.

Is Gift Aid included in my sponsorship target?

MacIntyre policy, like that of many other charities, is that Gift Aid is not included in sponsorship targets.

How can I make a gift aid declaration?

Gift Aid means that for every £1 you give us we can get a further 25p from HM Revenue & Customs.  Find out more about Gift Aid.

How will my money be used?

MacIntyre depends on voluntary income to fund the items and activities that make a real difference to the people we support.

What else could I do?

There are a few ways you can raise money for MacIntyre without it costing you a penny.

You could raise money for us while shopping online or even when you want to get rid of your old car.

What do I do if I have a concern or complaint?

MacIntyre is signed up to the Fundraising Regulator and was previously a member of the Fundraising Standards Board. This means that we have made a public promise to adhere to best practice, honesty, transparency, clarity and accountability in all fundraising activity, enabling you to give with confidence.   You can find out more in our Supporter Charter.
