MacIntyre MD to tackle Mont Blanc Marathon
Date: 27 May 2009
I am pleased to announce that MacIntyre has launched its 2012 Appeal which aims to encourage the people we support to improve their health and well being by participating in exercise-related activity.
I have been persuaded by colleagues and others to launch the appeal by undertaking a personal challenge. Therefore I will be taking part in the Mont Blanc Marathon on the 28th June. It is a full marathon run (26.2 miles) that also climbs 12,000 feet (equivalent of 4 times up and down Snowdon) and the route will take me from the French ski town of Chamonix to the Swiss border and back.
If anyone wants to support me I should be most grateful- please check my fundraising page at HERE and/or leave a message on the blog - Bill's Blog.

"MacIntyre is a wonderful charity that supports children and adults with all types of learning disabilities.
We have watched this charity grow over the last 20 years and we know it provides outstanding support for the children, adults and their families.
Bill Mumford is a truly remarkable person and having walked part of the Mont Blanc periphery with him for the charity, we cannot imagine how tough this 26.2 miles at 12,000 feet will be. We wish Bill all the luck in the world and know he will succeed with this new and exciting challenge. We wish you luck in achieving and exceeding your target."
