Earlier in June, the MacIntyre My Voice Group in Warrington hosted a Garden Party in Victoria Park to raise money for the ‘Forget Me Not’ ward’s garden at Warrington Hospital, which is leading the way in providing quality care for hospital patients with dementia.
The ‘Forget Me Not’ ward opened in May 2014 and features a number of design features including a special dementia garden area – which the funds raised will be put towards – a quiet room with a 1960s style TV and its own mock bus stop, all designed to provide relaxation for patients who need hospital care but also have dementia.
The total raised at the Garden Party was £320, which Richard and Dorothy from the My Voice group presented to the Hospital last week.
Well done to all involved!
