MacIntyre is proud to have retained its BSi status following the latest inspection for the 12th year in a row.
MacIntyre has held BSi OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health & Safety Management accreditation since 2004. The accreditation requires organisations to be reassessed every six months with a selection of services chosen at random by the BSi Assessor. MacIntyre was the first ever charity to receive BSi accreditation for this standard.
Each six monthly assessment involves a rigorous system of multi-site visits. During these visits, BSi Assessors not only check that the documentation complies with Health and Safety legislation but also that the staff teams understand and fulfil their H&S responsibilities in a way which continues to improve the practice beyond the minimum requirements of legislation. Working with the standard ensures the health and safety of our staff and the people that we support, and helps to ensure responsible corporate governance.
