We are seeking a Specialist Health Advisor to oversee MacIntyre’s Health Agenda and the successful completion of the Dementia Project. We are looking for someone who is an experienced manager and leader, who has worked within the health and/or social care services. With a health profession qualification/background, the ideal person will have additional experience and knowledge of working with people with learning disability, autism and mental health needs.
You will be responsible for the internal implementation and corporate auditing of MacIntyre’s Health Agenda. This includes leading and facilitating MacIntyre’s Healthwatch Group to champion the health needs of children, young people and adults with autism and/or learning disabilities; raise issues of concern and identify solutions; provide a wide perspective on what works well; respond to and implement external guidance and requirements.
In addition you will have responsibility for the MacIntyre Dementia Project funded by the Department of Health until October 2018. You will develop and maintain networks, alliances and partnerships with external organisations, ensuring dissemination of information as appropriate.
