Where you could be working

We are looking for Support Workers for our services around Milton Keynes: Great Holm, Crownhill, Stony Stratford and Shenley Church End

Types of services we are recruiting for

  • Our lifelong learning provision offers a broad curriculum of learning to the people we support, delivered in a wide range of vocational, work and community settings. During the pandemic, lifelong learning staff played an important part in keeping the people we support motivated, active and happy. You will play a key role in supporting individuals to re-engage in social situations and experiences in a variety of exciting and different sessions. You will also support individuals and groups to participate in community-based projects and volunteering opportunities, working in partnership with other organisations to share and celebrate the talents and skills of the people we support.

  • Our residential  services focus on encouraging the people we support to do as much for themselves as they are able to. This will include maintaining their home, attending medical appointments, budgeting, shopping, meal planning, cooking and cleaning as well as personal care and making positive choices to maintain good mental health and positive well-being.

  • Our award-winning coffee shops offer a tasty selection of hot drinks, delicious home-made cakes and light meals, but it's the opportunity they provide for people with learning disabilities to develop a range of skills that makes them totally unique. We support and teach a wonderful team of adults aged between 20 and 50. You will be supporting them with hospitality / customer care, food preparation, use of the till and a number of other duties involved with running a busy café and catering department.

Milton Keynes is one of our largest areas, providing a lot of choice of employment. Meet us to find out more about our different services and discuss which might work well for you.

Training and Development

At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.

Do we need any documents from you

At this stage we will not need any documents.

This is a chance for you to see who we are, ask any questions that relate to your specific circumstances or employment history, and to find out more about MacIntyre as an employer. You will however have a chance speak privately about your work history so if having your CV helps you with keeping track of your education and employment history please bring it with you.
