We are delighted to announce that our Dementia Project team are finalists in the National Learning Disability and Autism Awards in the Making a Difference Category.
The category looked for a provider or person who has promoted inclusion and community cohesion through their work or role in the community to make a positive change happen in people’s lives.
Through the MacIntyre Dementia Project, we have made involving the people we support a key priority and have implemented it in a number of ways, through our Experts by Experience Rosie and Rachel, to the Keep Going…….Don’t Stop group in Chesterfield, and the Side by Side events held across the country.
Sarah Ormston, Dementia Project Manager, said:
“It is fantastic to be finalists in this category as the MacIntyre Dementia Project really is about making a difference to the lives of people with a learning disability and dementia so to be recognised for this is amazing. A big thank you goes to everyone that is on this journey!”
