Supported Living

The support we provide in Leicestershire includes Supported Living, Registered Care and our Further Education provision.
Within our Supported Living provision, our top priority is ensuring people with a learning disability are supported to live their lives as independently as possible. Most recently, our staff team have supported two young men to transition out of their family homes into independent living.
“We are so proud of how he has taken the whole experience into his stride, with the help of MacIntyre staff and how both young men have slotted into their new way of life.”
– Steve, a parent
Our Registered Care homes in Leicester support adults with a learning disability to take part in meaningful activities that promote wellbeing and learning in many forms. Whether it’s attending music concerts at the Attenborough Arts Centre, going to museums or getting active at the local trampolining park, our staff ensure each person we support is encouraged to learn new skills and try new experiences.
Within our Further Education provision, the young people we support take part in activities within the community that complement their educational programmes. From volunteering at the New Leaf Outdoor Centre to attending classes at one of our partner colleges, each programme of learning is personalised to suit the needs of each learner.
Young people have also been supported to set up a small enterprise, which offers printing services to the surrounding area and operates an online shop.
