Registered Care
Our Registered Care homes across the country support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
In Shropshire we provide two Registered Care homes and Supported Living and our priority is to ensure the people we support take part in meaningful activities every day.
During the summer, one of our Registered Care homes hosts an annual garden party, where friends, family, staff, the people we support and other providers and organisations from the local area have a great day filled with games, music, laughter and food.
“It’s always a fantastic day each year and it’s amazing to see everyone come together and have such a great time.”
- Carol Groom, Head of Service
Interests of the people we support vary widely, including gaming, gardening, cycling, shopping, swimming, voluntary work and socialising with friends. Links have been developed with local organisations such as charity shops, the sports village, Shrewsbury Wildlife and the Quarry leisure centre, which ensures the people we support have great access to their local communities and are able to develop their independence, learn new skills and form new relationships.
“People were supported to have choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible, the policies and systems in the service support this practice. Staff spoke about those they supported with warmth and respect.”
– CQC report
Our Registered Care homes across the country support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
Supporting people with a learning disability to live a life that makes sense to them is central to everything we do at MacIntyre. We know that having…
Anyone who has moved into a new house knows it can take time for a house to feel like a home and adding your own personal touches can make all the difference.
People supported by MacIntyre have been chosen to pilot an assistive technology scheme in Shropshire.
From 16 November to 21 November, we are once again taking part in the Ann Craft Trust's annual National Safeguarding Adults Week.
We will provide support for six young men at two houses in the Shrewsbury area who are each moving as their next step into adulthood.
We believe it is important to meet CQC standards and are always striving to improve. For information about how MacIntyre is responding to the report for Beulah House please contact us [javascript protected email address]
