MacIntyre Academies
Part of MacIntyre’s purpose is to make a positive contribution to the lives of children in need of support.
We know that gaining independence and moving into their own home is very important to the young people we support on their transition to adulthood.
Our Supported Living provision works closely with the young people involved, families, education providers, housing providers and other stakeholders to offer a wide range of flexible, innovative and person-centred support options.
Living independently or with a small group is a fantastic way to put the skills gained through education into practice. For many of the people we support through our Further Education provision, Supported Living allows them to take another step towards adulthood by moving out the family home and taking control of their own lives.
One of our favourite days of the year at MacIntyre: our annual awards ceremony for our outstanding staff.
The My Voice group of people who draw on our support in Warrington recently hosted their first tea party since Covid.
Playing the MacIntyre Lottery is an ideal way to show your support - and give you the chance to win £500!
In the latest podcast episode, Beth Britton and Nicola Payne discuss supporting people living with both dementia and a learning disability.
