Shout Out TV, a channel for MacIntyre My Voice groups launched today during “Hear My Voice” Summit, an event held in Milton Keynes.
My Voice groups exist in different areas of the country and are there for people with learning disabilities who are supported by MacIntyre to express their wishes and opinions, and to influence the support they are receiving. Groups meet locally and this was their first national get together where they shared their successes and achievements.
Shout Out TV and blog talk about issues affecting people with learning disabilities and encourage them to make their voice heard.
We are very happy that the event was attended by Learning Disability England (LDE), a membership organisation for people with learning disabilities, their families and friends, professionals and organisations, who’s motto is: “Stronger, Louder, Together”. It was an opportunity for everyone who attended the event to join LDE. It was also an occasion to award Sui-Ling Tang, self-advocate from Milton Keynes, a lifetime membership.
