The Inner Wheel Club of Wolverton has been supporting local charities and causes for 57 years. Last year, MacIntyre Lifelong Learning in Milton Keynes was chosen as one of their Charities of the Year, and funds were raised through events such as a quiz night and fete. The Club also supported Lifelong Learning in Milton Keynes by attending the MacIntyre Variety Show, which took place last November, and members are also looking forward to attending this year’s production of Joseph in October at Marshalls Theatre.
We are delighted to say that the Inner Wheel Club of Wolverton has donated £1,000 to Milton Keynes Lifelong Learning. The team and people we support are currently deciding how to spend the funds to make sure as many people in the area can benefit as possible.
Viv Love, former President of the Inner Wheel Club of Wolverton, said:
“It is fantastic to be able to support the excellent work being done at Milton Keynes Lifelong Learning. The variety of activities that people can take part in and the events that are organised all give a chance for everyone to shine which is wonderful to see, and we look forward to continuing to support Milton Keynes Lifelong Learning in the future.”
Louise Taylor, Frontline Manager at Milton Keynes Lifelong Learning, said:
“The donation is so generous and we’re extremely grateful to the Inner Wheel Club of Wolverton for supporting us and choosing us as one of their Charities of the Year last year; the money will really make a difference to people’s lives. We have formed a great relationship with the Club and have built a connection in the wider community for both staff and the people we support.”
