The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates MacIntyre’s 46 registered locations in England. Following the introduction of new standards in 2014, reports for the latest two services were issued recently, taking the total number of services inspected to 39. There are four ratings: Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement and Poor. MacIntyre’s ratings can be summarised as follows:
- 35 (90%) were rated Good Overall
- 4 (10%) were rated Requires Improvement Overall. Where any of our services have been rated by CQC as Requires Improvement and therefore not reached the standard that MacIntyre expects of itself we have worked in partnership with all stakeholders to understand the issues and have taken the appropriate action to address any concerns ensuring the service returns to a level that reflects a Good rating.
- 7 services are yet to be inspected under the new standards
We have one location registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) which is rated Good Overall.
