This week Lisa tells us about her holiday. It is clear to see that what is important is not just the holiday itself but the excitement of planning in detail all the things she hopes to enjoy.
How often do we forget or underestimate the importance of people having the chance to share their excitement and anticipation of upcoming events. Having the chance to chat about it all extends the whole experience but for some may also help to relieve and reduce any anxiety we may be experiencing about trying something new or going outside of our comfort zone.
Lisa’s Support Worker, Ann sent this message after the holiday:
Lisa and I were discussing her holiday as she is having her Person Centred Planning review meeting next week.
She said her favourite bits were “visiting all the different places especially Gibraltar. Going up the rock in the cable car was a bit scary – you could see for miles – but a great laugh and those cheeky monkeys at the top who were trying to get into the cafe!!”
Lisa really enjoyed all the shows and bands and said “I had a great time”.
