Our Dementia Project team, including Sarah Ormston, Dementia Project Manager, Nicola Payne, Dementia Project Officer and Rosie Joustra, Expert by Experience and Self-Advocate, are joining the prestigious line up of speakers at the 8th National Memory Services Forum in October.
The Forum is organised by the Memory Services National Accreditation Programme (MSNAP), part of the Royal College of Psychiatrists Memory Services initiative, who work with services to assure and improve the quality of memory services for people with memory problems/dementia and their carers. The annual event attracts over 150 delegates and covers a range of topics relating to memory services.
Our Dementia Project team will host a session dedicated to learning disability and dementia, in particular the need for people with a learning disability to receive a timely diagnosis of dementia and the other challenges being faced. The team will take the audience through best practice examples and some of the key learnings from the project so far.
