MacIntyre No Limits: David’s story

At MacIntyre, we believe that giving a young person the best start in life is essential. Although we never stop learning, delivering the right education, in the right way, at the right time, can make such a difference to a person’s life.

David’s journey with No Limits and MAP, MacIntyre’s partnership with Abingdon and Witney College, began in September 2015 when his previous education provision at both school and mainstream college were no longer suitable; David was bullied and so wasn’t able to fully partake in the education programme being provided. It was recognised that David would benefit from more support delivered in innovative ways, away from the usual classroom setting, enabling him to access education and gain life skills through activities that he enjoyed doing.

“David’s confidence in the things he enjoys doing has really increased, and not just through his acting and volunteering but through his social skills too.”

– Becky Fellows, Community Learning Facilitator, MacIntyre No Limits
