MacIntyre is delighted to have successfully retained its Gold Investors in People (IIP) status. The assessment took place in June 2016 against the new, tougher, IIP standards.
MacIntyre has been an Investor in People organisation since April 2001, achieving Silver status in December 2011 and in 2012 Gold status. MacIntyre was then invited to become an Investors in People Champion organisation, an accolade offered to just 5% of IIP organisations.
MacIntyre continues to use the Investors in People framework to assist in the effective delivery of its strategy, which in turn will support MacIntyre’s vision ‘for people with a learning disability to live a life that makes sense to them’.
To achieve accreditation, organisations are assessed against themes and indicators that lead to an award level of accredited, silver, gold or platinum that represents the level of performance an organisation has achieved. Assessment is carried out using online assessment, interviews, meetings and observation.
MacIntyre was found to be ‘Advanced’ in 8 of the 9 indicators and ‘High Performing’ in the area of “Living the organisation’s values and behaviours” about which the report noted that “MacIntyre’s values continue to be at the heart of everything they do and shape the way it operates at every level.”
Sarah Burslem, MacIntyre CEO, said: “We are all very proud of this result and it confirms why MacIntyre is so very special. I would like to thank each and every member of staff for continuing to make MacIntyre such an excellent place to live, learn and work. We are particularly thrilled to have maintained this prestigious Gold accreditation in our Golden Jubilee year!”
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate MacIntyre, Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success. MacIntyre should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
