Marjorie Newton Wright Awards 2017

The Marjorie Newton Wright Awards, launched in memory of our founders Kenneth and Marjorie Newton Wright, are all about acknowledging and celebrating outstanding performance across the organisation.

It is a chance to recognise that MacIntyre would not be what it is today without the people behind it, epitomising MacIntyre’s values and recognising that, even when times are hard, our staff and team still go above and beyond.

We were delighted to be joined not just by over 250 people including both staff and the people we support, but also Pippa Darbyshire and Karen Gunn, daughters of Kenneth and Marjorie Newton Wright, as well as Duncan Strachan, one of our Trustees.

Huge congratulations to all of our winners this year and of course as well to everyone that was nominated. It is clear from the nominations that you are all inspirational in the way you face challenges head on, always have enough time to help your peers and promote creativity to achieve remarkable outcomes.

A special thank you must also be extended to everyone who nominated their colleagues and to our judges who had the hard task of choosing the winners. Lastly, thank you also to the Milton Keynes Lifelong Learning Expressive Arts group for their incredible performance.

And now it’s time to announce the winners! Congratulations to…
