"There are so many issues within the health sector that are relevant to the work we do at MacIntyre, especially as the health needs of the people we support are often extremely complex. The Health Special Interest Group acts as a forum where we can all contribute ideas, share best practice and current resources."
Health Special Interest Group
MacIntyre’s Health Special Interest Group, which leads MacIntyre’s Health Agenda for the people we support, meet three times a year to discuss, debate and review significant issues central to health and wellbeing.
Recent sessions include an update on health topics including supporting people with epilepsy, mental health, eating and drinking and End of Life care.
The aim of each meeting is not only to give an update on various health topics and to ensure all staff are informed of any changes and revisions, but also to collaborate on creating resources for staff, families and the people supported by MacIntyre. The purpose is to share what is happening locally, regionally and nationally within health.
