Reps on Board top 100 Safe Places in Derbyshire

MacIntyre is delighted to share that Derbyshire now has 100 safe places for people with a learning disability to go to if they need help!

The Derbyshire Safe Place Scheme involves a range of businesses, including shops and cafés, which offer their premises as temporary safe environments where adults with learning disabilities can go if they find themselves in difficulty while out and about, for example if they feel scared, unwell or are lost.

It is part of Derbyshire County Council’s Hate Crime and Keeping Safe Project, supported by Derbyshire Constabulary, Derbyshire Learning Disability Partnership Board and MacIntyre.
