Sulaimaan, who is supported at our No Limits provision in Buckinghamshire, has successfully launched a book ‘Sam the Lonely Tree’ which he both wrote and illustrated.
The book is about a tree that is somewhere along the road leading from Amersham Hospital towards High Wycombe; it is a story based upon insecurity, friendship and support. Sulaimaan is currently writing the sequel to Sam the Lonely Tree – more details to come!
A book launch was held at the Future Life Centre at the end of June. Staff from MacIntyre, Flackwell College, family and friends all came along to support Sulaimaan.
Khalida Khan, Community Learning Facilitator, MacIntyre No Limits, said:
“It was a wonderful day, with so much support from everyone. This has given Sulaimaan such a belief in himself and that ‘where there’s a will there is a way’. We are planning more book launches in the coming months which will hopefully progress this into a positive career for the future, enabling Sulaimaan to work towards an independent life.”
