Tackling health inequalities for people with disabilities

An important focus for VODG (Voluntary Organisations Disability Group) in 2017/18 is to work across with member organisations to support collective actions to reduce health inequalities.

As a VODG member, MacIntyre is proud to support the movement and is keen to bring to light the challenges and barriers that need to be overcome.

To bring together the skills, experience and knowledge of VODG members, a free event has been set up to seek positive ways to address these changes. The event will feature guest speaker George Matuska, Learning Disability Nursing and Workforce Health Education England. It will be a day to consider the recent results of VODG’s health inequalities survey and to share success stories and case studies of when health care and support has worked.

When: Friday 17 November, 10am – 3:30pm
Where: St. Martin in the Bullring Church, Edgbaston Street, Birmingham, B5 5BB
