We are delighted to welcome two new Lead PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) Coaches to the PBS team. Congratulations to Adam Scott and Hannah Grimshaw, who will take a leading role in the implementation of MacIntyre’s PBS Policy and Action Plan through supporting the development of MacIntyre’s team of PBS Coaches.
Both Adam and Hannah will focus on supporting and improving the skills and impact of MacIntyre’s team of PBS Coaches by co-delivering training and workshops, supporting more complex functional assessments, observing Coaches at work and auditing the quality of assessments, PBS plans and reviews. Both Lead PBS Coaches will also support Frontline Managers and Area Managers to lead the implementation of PBS at a local level and support services when additional needs arise.
Adam started the role early in December and is now beginning to understand the challenges ahead. Adam was previously based in the North West as Manager of Asquith House, and since training as a PBS Coach has been busy supporting a number of services in that area with some fantastic outcomes for people supported and teams.
Hannah will join the team in January after handing over her Oxfordshire No Limits team. Hannah is a PBS coach, PBM Trainer and has now started training with IABA (The Institute for Applied Behaviour Analysis) to be able to build upon her wealth of experience and deliver functional assessments for people with the most complex behaviours of concern.
Alongside Hannah and Adam, Belinda Bradley, Head of PBS, MacIntyre, looks forward to being able to support the team to achieve MacIntyre’s PBS goals during 2017.
“It’s great to have two new Lead PBS Coaches on board. Together, we’re confident that we can work towards achieving the MacIntyre PBS Measures of Success, such as demonstrating improved well-being for over 85% of people whose behaviours impact on their quality of life and reducing the use of physical intervention by at least 30% each year.”
