In the next in our 12 Gifts of Christmas series, we're looking at the gift of Learning, a key part of MacIntyre's culture, and one in which we invest a lot of specialist resources.
The gift of Learning
Every year, MacIntyre celebrates the Marjorie Newton Wright Awards, named after one of our founders. These staff awards go to individuals and teams who exemplify the values set out in MacIntyre's DNA.
In 2023, the award for Learning and Development Champion was won by Amandeep Panesar, a Learning Support Assistant at our school in Wingrave. Her nomination picked out how reflective she is in her own learning, and how encouraging to others:
Amandeep has shown commitment, dedication, embracing Intensive Interactions, she has a consistent approach to her own learning and reflection. She is a positive role model to other staff, having gone on to champion the Intensive Interaction technique and encouraging others to learn and develop their own understanding.
