MacIntyre School is a truly special place, providing excellent education and care for children and young people aged between 10 and 19.
For Children and Young People
MacIntyre has been supporting children and young people to live, learn and thrive since we were founded in 1966.
MacIntyre offers highly specialist education for children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism. Our facilities include a residential school in Buckinghamshire, community-based children’s homes and post-16 education programmes either direct with Local Authorities or in partnership with Further Education Colleges.
We understand that transition between children’s support and adult support can be daunting for young people with a learning disability and their families.
Across MacIntyre School and No Limits, we use Transitions Facilitators (which we call My Way Facilitators) to closely work with young people, their families and existing support networks, education providers, housing providers and community groups to provide a smooth transition period. My Way is unique and tailored to each individual to ensure the transition for each person is successful and sustainable in the longer term.
