Last month, the teams and people we support in Hampshire gathered together to take part in an annual group campout, known as the 'Hampshire Big Event'.
Speaking about the weekend, Darren, a member of staff said:
"We had a record number of people attend and stay overnight and despite the weather not being on our side, there was lots of fun and excitement to be had and tasty food to be scoffed."
He added:
"The days were filled with laughter and excitement with outdoor/indoor games, music, camp Olympics, lots of talking and singing and of course plenty of food and drink."
What makes the 'Big Event' so memorable for many is the chance for everyone, staff and people supported by MacIntyre in Hampshire, to come together.
Darren explains:
"For me, the most memorable part of this magnificent event, was when many people from across MacIntyre in Hampshire in turned up in the morning on each of the days. I remember taking a step back and just marvelling at the sea of faces that were all sat down talking to one and another. I was grinning from ear to ear thinking, this is what it's all about!"
We would like to thank everyone who was able to make the Hampshire Big Event possible once again this year. The team in Hampshire are already planning for 2020 and ideas are certainly welcome.
