As part of #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, today we’re looking at ‘connect’, one of the ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’ developed as part of our Wellbeing for Life resources. 

It’s so important to spend time with people; this is what we mean by the term ‘connect’. It could be spending time with your family, friends, colleagues and even your neighbours. Being socially active can help improve your wellbeing by:

  • Improving your mood
  • Relieving stress
  • Reducing the risk of depression
  • Reducing loneliness
