Did you notice the Dimensions Leaders awards taking place in Bristol this week? I was so proud to see people who draw on support with MacIntyre nominated in three different awards and who were also Winners.
All three were people who have embraced our Everyone Everywhere approach. They thought about what they are good at and what they care about enough to do something about. And then they were supported to take action!
- Marc loves all things Christmas and wanted to share that with people locally. He connected with local nurseries to share the magic with young children.
- Sohail is passionate about football and is a talented coach. He set up an inclusive weekly kick-about where people can come together, make friends and keep active. He connected with a local community centre and even kids on the way home from school get involved and join in.
- In Chesterfield (pictured) people cared about food waste and bringing people together. Soup and Chat was born where people pick up the left over veg from their local foodbank and each week turn it into soup for local people to share together.
All of these incredible stories show the same things. When people are supported to build on their strengths and connect great things happen. They create opportunities, bring people together and make a real difference in the lives of others. They are truly worthy winners! Congratulations to all the winners and nominees.
