Running your own enterprise? At MacIntyre, there really are No Limits!

19 April 2024
News

We’re pleased to share the news of our Print Shop, ‘MacIntyre PrintAble’ is open or business!

MacIntyre PrintAble is based in Great Holm in Milton Keynes and was relaunched towards the end of 2023, supported through the MacIntyre No LimitsTM programme.

No Limits is MacIntyre’s post-16 education provision for young people aged 16-25 to help gain the skills, experience and independence needed to successfully transition into adult life. Working in partnership with local Further Education Colleges, No Limits specialises in an educational programme tailored around the individual that suits their learning styles.

Adam Jones, our newly appointed Enterprise and Learning Manager was recently invited to speak to local radio station MKFM about MacIntyre PrintAble:

“PrintAble came from an idea of creating an enterprise for Learners. We used to only look externally to get the printing for our ID badges, but then thought about empowerment, and how could this be an opportunity for development and empower young people we support?

Young people are supported 1:1 through the whole process in which they learn how to run the business and learn how to use their ICT skills in design, to printing, quality control and distribution.

People are developing their interpersonal skills, as well as their skills in enterprise. Every step is another chance to learn and the Print Shop itself has become a whole course which helps people to learn how to run a business.

The feedback has been brilliant from it, there are learners who have absolutely taken to it, and their confidence is amazing to see, so much so, they’re running the Print Shop themselves!”

You can listen to the full interview here.

MacIntyre PrintAble is able to produce a variety of products including:

- Mugs

- Mouse mats

- Wall signs

- T-shirts

- Water Bottles

We’re open to enquiries and orders. To get in contact, please email: printable@macintyrecharity.org
