With her trusty budgie Rio by her side, Sui-Ling chats to people from across MacIntyre. In the latest episode, Sui-Ling is joined by Meg Wilding and Rachel Furniss from MacIntyre's Health Team.
Rachel and Meg explain how there are five people in the Health Team, including Rosie and (another) Rachel, who are experts by experience.
The team offers training and help to people who draw on our support and to staff teams. The training can be either via Zoom or face-to-face. They help everyone understand health issues, whether that's how to deal with illness or how to live a healthier life, and what to look out for.
We also find out about an online book club that the team are launching in October.
Meg and Rachel sum up their work by saying:
We want everyone to feel safe and in control. The Health Team lives and breathes the MacIntyre DNA - if you were to cut us open we would be purple inside.
(Not sure about cutting people open when we're talking about health, Rachel and Meg, but we get the idea!)
This was another great interview by Sui-Ling, well worth a watch.
