Well our friends in Warrington have had a right royal month, with not one but two trips to Buckingham Palace during May 2023.
Ciaran at the Garden Party
Ciaran Bradley, from MacIntyre’s Great Communities project, was invited to represent the Social Care Future movement at the King’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace to mark the Coronation. Ciaran and MacIntyre’s Peter Connor attended on 9 May in recognition of Ciaran and MacIntyre’s contribution to the movement and to the Warrington community.
Ciaran has been volunteering with Social Care Futures now for four years. He has an Autism Friendly film club in Warrington, and due to his work and dedication, there are now several film clubs like his across the country, where people can be social and enjoy a movie with other like-minded film fans.
Duke of Edinburgh Awards
Then if that wasn’t enough, Ainsley, Ami, Gus and Luke, who MacIntyre support in Warrington, went to Buckingham Palace on 15 May to receive their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
The young people worked so hard to get this Award. It’s an amazing achievement, and they are rightly proud of themselves.
