We are delighted to announce our team for the 2025 London Marathon:
Andrea Smith is the partner at a Milton Keynes firm of a solicitors who have been long-time supporters of MacIntyre. Andrea says “It will be a real privilege to fundraise for MacIntyre, thank you.”
Fergus and Jack Doyle are a father and son due from Bedfordshire who wanted to raise funds for a local charity. They just missed out on a place in 2024 and are delighted to be able to run in 2025.
Geraint Thomas lives in Wales. He says “I've seen first-hand the benefit your charity has on the people you support and the family of those supported. My partner’s brother benefits from the support your charity gives in Bedfordshire, particularly the days out with carers which are often the highlight of his week and allows him to get out and take part in activities that he may not otherwise have the opportunity to take part in. I've also witnessed the kindness, generosity, and tremendous efforts of your carers to not only look after, but to provide a personal connection and friendship with those you support.”
Jamie Catherall lives in London and knows about MacIntyre through his father-in-law, a great supporter of the charity. Jamie says “MacIntyre is a fantastic charity and cause, one which I’d be very proud to raise money for.”
Joseph Healy works in London but lives in Bedfordshire and started the Mixed Ability Rugby at Leighton Buzzard Rugby Club in Bedfordshire which is attended by young people and adults from MacIntyre in Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes and MacIntyre School. Joe says “I’m over the moon to be chosen to run for MacIntyre!”
Terry Shipp lives in Milton Keynes where his son attends MacIntyre during the day. He says “My son has been supported by Macintyre for about 10 years in various ways since leaving 6th form in Milton Keynes. I would like to run the London Marathon next year and raise some money for MacIntyre.”
