Connect and talk

5 February 2026
News

"Connect" is our theme for February, as we continue to celebrate our 60th anniversary at MacIntyre.

Connection is a theme which runs through everything we do, whether it is our Everyone Everywhere approach, the strand of our DNA which states "We value friends, family and neighbourhoods, or how in our Purpose, we say "MacIntyre invests in, and helps shape, neighbourhoods to be inclusive and welcoming spaces for everyone."

Time to Talk Day

And what better time to focus on connection than February, as today marks the annual Time To Talk Day, the nation's biggest mental health conversation, organised by Mind. It’s a chance to listen, share, and talk about what really matters.

What could you do?

  • Text a friend to ask how they’re doing
  • Go for a walk and talk with a neighbour
  • Invite a colleague for a cup of tea and a chat
  • Deliver a school assembly on mental health
  • Host a ‘lunch and learn’ session in your workplace
  • Share one of the Mind Time to Talk Day graphics on social media. Use the hashtag #TimeToTalk and tag @mindcharity

MacIntyre Connects

For more ideas about how to make those connections that matter, go to our special Celebrating 60 page.

Our favourite suggestion? Switch off the TV or put down your phone and talk or play a game with your children, friends, family or housemates.
