We're delighted to share the winners of our April 'Employee of the Month' award. Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate. Below are the names of the winners in the categories of Adult Services, Children and Young People and Support Services and an extract from their nominations.
Congratulations to this month's winners!
Grace Alcock, Bedfordshire - Adult Services
"Grace has just stepped up as a Senior Support Worker and she has been very proactive in the service. She formed good relationships with the team she is leading and has excellent communication skills to be able to do this positively.
Grace has a person-centred approach and has come up with numerous ideas of how the staff can be more interactive in their day to day activities. Grace is efficient at getting tasks done promptly, is adaptable and always willing to go the extra mile. I feel Grace has excellent potential to go far at MacIntyre and is a great asset to the organisation."
Nadine Von Seeler, Waking Night Support Worker, St Albans - Children and Young People
"Nadine has only worked for MacIntyre for about five months, but she shows a great deal of understanding when supporting the young people at night. She's patient, and kind and supportive. Having never done this kind of role before is surprising considering she responds with such a positive attitude and always works in a child-centred way."
Alex Bellamy, Administrator, MacIntyre No Limits - Children and Young People
Nomination one:
"Alex is always so helpful and goes the extra mile for everybody. She makes coming to work such a pleasure, even when we are not in the office together.
Alex has a great; “We can do this!” attitude, which is inspirational. I think it would be great if she knew how much she means to everyone who works with her and what a blessing she is to the whole MacIntyre team. This month, among many other things, Alex took on the majority of work putting together the ‘Learner Qualification Packs.’ This alleviated my workload, enabling me to attend my eLearning virtual meeting."
Nomination two:
"I would like to nominate Alex as I have seen how hard she works to provide support to her co-workers and her No Limit students. She goes above and beyond and is always at the end of the phone or email if anyone needs her. She is constantly smiling and putting people at ease and nothing is too much for Alex to do."
Amanda Corrin, Administrator - Support Services
"During the changes in the Cheshire area, Amanda tirelessly sorted out the finances and still carried out her administrative duties. She deserves this award for going above and beyond in her job for the last few months and for putting her feelings to one side to ensure the people we support and staff have a smooth transition to a new provider."
Each winner will receive a certificate and a payment via My Rewards.
The MacInStars Awards are already open for nominations for May – just go to https://www.macintyrecharity.org/macinstars-employee-of-the-month/ and tell us about a member of staff who deserves recognition.
