Freddie is in his second year with No Limits, having joined No Limits in the Midlands through EOTAS funding (Education Other Than At School), which we call 'MacIntyre No Limits Direct'. Freddie’s parents wanted to share his story in their own words:
“We dedicated the final two years of Freddie’s school journey (he finished in June 2023) to finding the perfect college provision that would enable him to continue enjoying a fulfilling and enriching life, beyond full-time education.
We were delighted to discover MacIntyre No Limits and were eager to sign up for their bespoke programme.
Previously, this required formal access via another provider, however, Freddie’s school headteacher and MacIntyre No Limits worked collaboratively to negotiate a direct contract with the Local Authority.
We are thrilled with the result. Freddie now benefits from a detailed learning plan tailored to his EHCP, with specific outcomes to support his development. He continues to thrive and thoroughly enjoys his time being out and about, he loves to people watch especially if they are walking their dogs.
Freddie finds communication difficult and when he first came to No Limits he would greet everyone by saying 'Hello Fred' now he knows many of the staff and learner names and has his own nicknames for some of them.
We're excited to see what the future brings for Freddie.
