With support from our team at MacIntyre No Limits, John is now confidently making a difference in his local community.
To support John’s learning, our team from MacIntyre No Limits support him to regularly visit and feed the animals at the Curly Tails Pig Sanctuary, a local charity in Milton Keynes.
John initially found interacting with the team at the sanctuary challenging, but with on-going support from our team at MacIntyre No Limits, he is now thriving.
Speaking about John's progress, Jane founder of Curly Tails Pig Sanctuary said:
"John has really has grown in confidence. It is wonderful to be a very small part of that growth to give him a stepping stone into independence. He wouldn’t even walk up the pathway to the field when he first came and now he’s happy to spend time with me and Alan (who helps at the sanctuary) without support."
When John learned the sanctuary was in desperate need of an animal trailer for the pigs, he was quick to act by organising a sponsored walk around Willen Lake, with support from MacIntyre No Limits staff.
As a result of John’s efforts, he managed to raise a fantastic amount of money that made a real difference to the sanctuary.
Jane added:
“John raised over £300 with his walking team and we used the money towards an animals trailer that we so badly needed. John always gets really excited when he sees the trailer and knows that he helped to get it.”
