At the beginning of October, we reached out to our fantastic supporters and invited them to take part in Memories and Miles in full 2020 style, to raise money for people we support with a diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of dementia.
People with a learning disability have an increased risk of developing dementia and at MacIntyre, we firmly believe that a diagnosis of dementia shouldn't mean you stop doing what you love and living your life, your way.
We aim to support each person to make every day count and focus on what matters to them and thankfully, our supporters are right behind us.
We couldn’t be prouder to share that thanks to your fundraising efforts we have raised over £560, all of which will go towards helping people we support to take part in activities they enjoy and buy much needed equipment to support them to live well with dementia.
Thank you all of our fantastic fundraisers and everyone who has donated to MacIntyre recently. We are incredibly grateful for all of your support during what continues to be a challenging time.
Help people to stay connected this winter
For the first time, MacIntyre will be taking part in the 2020 Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s biggest online match funding campaign. As a result, any donations made to MacIntyre between 1-8 December 2020 will be doubled.
Our world is growing ever more reliant on technology and since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, digital devices have become an essential lifeline to friends and family. With many dark winter nights ahead of us and feelings of continued uncertainty, we are on a mission to ensure the people we support stay connected to their loved ones and we need your help to achieve this.
Whether you can spare £5 or £100, if you donate between 1 to 8 December 2020 your donation will be doubled and will have twice the impact on the people we support.
Thank you!
