This Saturday our one-mile fully accessible event, Memories and Miles, will take place in Ellesmere Port and you’re invited.
Due to be held in Whitby Park on World Alzheimers Day, the fun, family-friendly event will aim to raise money to start a MacIntyre Memory Café in the area, but will also aim to raise awareness of people with a learning disability who have an additional diagnosis of dementia.
MacIntyre Memory Cafés are currently successfully held in Milton Keynes, Warrington, Chesterfield and Bedfordshire; providing essential support for people with dementia and their families;. The cafés offer a unique space to take part in interactive activities and meet others in a similar situation.
