Here are our latest Employees of the Month:
Armani Barkatali – Warrington – Adult Social Care
Armani is ambitious for the people he supports and always looks for ways to help them do things they once thought were out of reach. Simon can take time to trust people and had never wanted to stay away overnight. Armani built his confidence gradually, supporting him to plan and prepare for a two-day trip to Liverpool. Simon was anxious when they arrived, but soon settled in and had a wonderful time, staying in a hotel overlooking the docks and fitting in lots of activities. The experience gave Simon the confidence to take another step: just a few weeks later, he went on a two-night mountain biking trip with another member of staff. Armani’s support helped turn something Simon once found too daunting into something he now feels confident doing.
Trymore Dube – Children’s Homes Wingrave – CYP
Trymore has shown great initiative in collecting video evidence of Intensive Interactions throughout the school summer holidays. He wasn't asked to do this; instead, he recognised the opportunities as they arose and recorded evidence whenever he could. Importantly, he didn't limit this to staff working towards their Competent Practitioner awards. Trymore understood that the evidence was also valuable for the young people's progress files, helping to chart and monitor their social development over time. His approach shows a strong understanding of the importance of observing, reflecting on and sharing our practice. By taking the initiative to capture this evidence, Trymore has made a valuable contribution to both staff learning and the progress of the young people.
Katie Millward – No Limits Midlands – No Limits
Katie always puts the learners' goals and interests at the heart of what she does. She isn't afraid to step outside her comfort zone, ask for help when she needs it and think creatively about how to make sessions work. Her thorough planning and willingness to try new approaches mean she regularly comes up with engaging activities that capture learners' attention while supporting their individual goals. Katie's determination to keep finding fresh and interesting ways to deliver sessions makes a real difference to learners' experience and progress.
Alison Thomas – North West Hub – Support Services
Alison is a highly valued member of the North West Hub team, known for her reliability, adaptability and willingness to go the extra mile. She is always prepared to stay until a job is finished and continually looks for new and better ways of doing things. Her friendly and approachable manner is particularly valuable as one of the first points of contact for new staff, candidates and external visitors. Alison makes people feel welcome while keeping things moving behind the scenes, and nothing ever seems too much trouble. She consistently demonstrates the qualities we value in our people: being honest, respectful, fun, compassionate and kind.
