August Employees of the Month

7 September 2026
News

Four colleagues from across MacIntyre have been recognised as our latest Employees of the Month, each making a valuable contribution to the people and teams they work alongside.

Steven Buckley – Wrexham, Adult Social Care

Steve has shown tremendous dedication during his first few months as a manager, taking on the opening of a new house with compassion, understanding and confidence. He has supported the four people who have moved in as they settle into their new home, adapting his approach and getting to know each person well while building a strong team around them. In a short space of time, Steve has also developed trusting relationships with families, helping them through this new chapter. His calm and supportive leadership has made a real difference.

Denise Graham – Woodland View, Children & Young People

Denise went above and beyond during Woodland View’s recent Ofsted inspection. She took the initiative to reorganise and clean an area of the home that needed some attention, and impressed the inspector with her knowledge and the way she spoke about the children, her colleagues and the home. Denise then organised a BBQ for children and staff the following day. She then arranged a group photograph of the children and staff together in the garden. Her hard work is hugely appreciated.

Julie Mitchell – No Limits East Midlands

Julie has shown great flexibility over the summer, taking on a range of tasks alongside her usual duties. She has been particularly helpful with DIY jobs, putting her practical skills to good use on tasks that she enjoys but which take considerable time and effort. By taking these jobs on herself and completing them for free, Julie has also saved the team a significant amount of money. Her willingness to turn her hand to whatever is needed has made a real difference, and her contribution has been warmly appreciated by her colleagues.

Nicola Chappell – Central Support Service

Nicola has played a key role in supporting teams across Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire and Oxford to complete their Nourish* plans. She has patiently reviewed each plan for quality, asking thoughtful questions where more detail or clarity is needed and respectfully challenging language where appropriate. When staff have found writing or IT challenging, Nicola has visited them to provide practical support. She has also become an expert on the Nourish system, supporting everyone with guidance and solutions. Despite the challenges of the project, Nicola has consistently responded with positivity and encouragement. Her support has been hugely valued by the teams she has worked with.
