Liverpool FC just missed out on winning the Premier League this season, followed by a narrow loss in the Champions League final. Despite this, avid fan Michael made the long trip from Milton Keynes to Merseyside to celebrate their League Cup and FA Cup victories and show his support for his beloved club. Attending the celebration parade, Michael saw all of his favourite players as the team travelled through Liverpool City Centre.
Speaking on the parade, Support Worker Jaymee said:
“Michael is a massive Liverpool supporter so it was a trip he very much was looking forward to. Michael and I travelled from Milton Keynes to Liverpool on Friday 27 May. We watched the Champions League Final on the Saturday, and then we went into Liverpool city centre on the Sunday to watch the players parade the two Cup trophies. From beginning to end, it was a weekend full of fun and you could see the joy on Michael’s face.
Michael really enjoyed this and was so excited that we managed to get at the front of the parade so he could see all the players close up.”
Michael remains positive that Liverpool will win the Champions League next year and will once again be at the parade to celebrate.
