We have some fantastic employees at MacIntyre and every month one person from each division is chosen to be our Employee of the Month.
Below are the names of the winners in the categories of MacIntyre Adult Services, Children and Young People, MacIntyre No Limits™, and Specialist Support Services, together with an extract from their nominations.
Lauren Miles - Adult Services, Bedfordshire
I am nominating Lauren in behalf of the entire staff team. We recently had someone who draws on our support who had to spend some time in hospital, and sadly later passed away.
Lauren spent a lot of time at the hospital so the gentleman wasn't alone, showing him so much care and compassion, it made what was an emotional time easier. She was with him when he died, ensuring he wasn't alone at the very end. She has gone completely above and beyond the call of duty during a very difficult time and absolutely deserves to be recognised for doing an absolutely amazing job
Kirsty Cramp: Children and Young People, Wingrave
Kirsty has been running Starling Class in the absence of the class teacher. She has done her very best to keep the daily routine and timetable to run as it usually does, which hasn't been easy without a core member of the staff team. Kirsty has stepped up and led the team excellently whilst using their skill sets to best support the young people. The class continued with their offsite activities as much as possible, and where changes were needed, Kirsty implemented them with minimal impact for the young people. Kirsty has been very supportive of the whole staff team, showing her gratitude and praising them for being flexible and creative in their thinking. Her own flexibility and calm demeanour has helped everyone.
Geza Barta: No Limits, Milton Keynes
About nine months ago, my wife was diagnosed with a brain tumour. After a major operation, She now has mostly removed, but after seven daily visits to hospital for radiotherapy, she is now undergoing six months of chemotherapy. Without Geza's unbelievable support and understanding, I would have struggled much more than I have. Geza deserves a big thank you for his support.
Lesley Druce: Specialist Support Services
I am nominating Lesley as I feel that in a just a couple of months she has learned and done so much for the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire services. She is the glue that holds us together and this is creating a joint approach rather than teams feeling “on their own” Lesley is keen to learn and asks questions that are solution-focused. In the short timeframe of working for Macintyre, Lesley has developed relationships with different departments and feedback has always been that she is keen to help and always friendly. Some of the issues she is involved with have helped me think differently about a situation.
