We have some outstanding employees at MacIntyre and every month one person from each division is chosen to be our Employee of the Month.
Below are the names of the winners in the categories of MacIntyre Adult Social Care, Children and Young People, MacIntyre No Limits™, and Specialist Support Services, together with an extract from their nominations.
Osaren Anene: Adult Social Care, Hertfordshire
Osaren has really encompassed the MacIntyre DNA. She encourages ambition for others, promoting positive risk taking. One person who draws on our support had become very fixed in her ways, she always wanted the same everyday activities. Osaren looked beyond her history and had discussions with her manager about trying things that in the past may have not been successful, not giving up on new experiences for people. Osaren worked with the person, listening to her and giving her a voice by trying new experiences. They have built a fantastic relationship - the lady feels safe with Osaren, has a great connection and now has lots of fun.
Bhuvanesh Kumar: Children and Young People, Buckinghamshire
Bhuvanesh always arrives on shift with a smile on her face and a spring in her step. Bhuvanesh has recently been spending lots of time forming a relationship with a new young person in MacIntyre's residential space at our School in Wingrave, helping her to feel safe and comfortable while she gets used to her new home.
Dawn Blewitt-Preston: No Limits East Midlands
Since working with Dawn I have found her to be learner-focused, always putting the young person first, and finding ways that works well for each individual while always being aware of MacIntyre and our DNA. Dawn has a wealth of knowledge which she is happy to share with the rest of the Community Teaching Facilitators she works with.
Mark White: Specialist Support Services
I am nominating Mark for employee of the month in recognition of the work he has done to raise the profile of British Sign Language and what it means to be Deaf in the Central office. I don't work directly with Mark, but I have noticed the BSL sessions he runs with Payroll and Finance on Mondays, which bring such a lot of joy to the whole office! It is so nice to hear the teams all laughing and taking such genuine delight in learning from Mark. It is even better to look over through the week and see them practicing what they've learnt in conversation. I think he has done a fantastic job. Thanks to Mark for making our office a more interesting place to work.
