Jay has observed staff interactions with students, including Intensive Interactions, and through this being modelled around him in house and in school; he has developed and succeeded in having Great Interactions of his own. These interactions have transformed in to a mutual friendship with Steve saying Jay’s name and the pair of them looking at each other and looking out for each other. When Steve wants to greet Jay, he will place his hands on his shoulders. To this Jay will respond with eye contact and a smile.

Steve often finds transitioning difficult. Jay has observed this and will now assist his friend. During these times Jay will use supportive gestures, reaching out to Steve with encouragement and waiting with patience. Both boys will often look at each other and will vocalise in their own way, therefore having lovely interactions.
