Supporting people with a learning disability to live a life that makes sense to them is central to everything we do at MacIntyre. We know that having the opportunity to have their own tenancy and live as independently as possible is very important to many of the people we support.
We know that having the opportunity to have their own tenancy and live as independently as possible is very important to many of the people we support. To achieve this, we work closely with individuals, families, community groups, housing providers and employers to offer a wide range of flexible, innovative and person centred support solutions to promote independence and encourage people to have choice and control over their own lives.
Our skilled staff are experts in engaging and encouraging the people we support to take small steps to become more confident and independent. Our Great Interactions training means that our staff understand when to take a step back to encourage the people we support to complete tasks as independently as possible.
